COWLEY CLASSIC CAR SHOW 2020

*** modified owing to the Coronavirus ****

*** we went on the road - around east and west Oxfordshire ***

Cars have come a long way since Henry Ford offered... "any colour as long as it's black" ... come and join us in August and see how many of the rainbow's colours you can spot amongst our our exhibitors' vehicles.

We hoped to have, as always, an electric and hybrid vehicle section this year, although most exhibits are fairly recent they certainly represent the future. With cities around the UK threatening drastic action on pollution, especially from diesel engines, electricity may be the only way forward if we want to drive in city centres. With the UK government threatening to phase out the sales of all new petrol or diesel cars and vans by 2030 we will be in need of electric, hydrogen or as yet unknown technology to see us through...Please bring along your electric or hybrid vehicle and let the debate continue...

About Us

The Rotary Club of Oxford Isis membership is drawn from all walks of life; we are inspired by our mantra of "Service Above Self" and the concept of putting back into society and community some of our countless years of experience. We enjoy spending time together and we also enjoy doing things for other people, in combining the two as our annual car show shows we can engage, entertain and serve.

We are a registered charity in our own right and all the profits from the event go to our chosen charities a list of whom can be found on subsequent pages. Below are some pictures of our club members past and present enjoying a brilliant day out at The Cowley Classic Car Show. This year's event was on the road, the format was different but the purpose the same...

Cowley Classic Car Show

2020 show on the road

Every year we try and make the show bigger and better, and this year was a forced exception.

Our on the road event was on Bank Holiday Monday 31st August, starting from Nottcutts Garden Centre. We have and will arrange further events as and when the restrictions allow.

Entry was modestly priced (£10) and provided the resources for the good works we undertake in our Rotary Year.
